Even though the movie itself was boring, watching it with you was the most intense experience ever, because I took the step to be more than friends with you. I have never been so nervous in a long long time.

We dressed up in beautiful traditional kimono and explored historic Kyoto! You looked absolutely stunning in your floral kimono with the red obi. We took a professional photoshoot, walked through the famous orange torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine, and had so much fun being silly in front of the pagoda.

🎈 Hot Air Balloon Ride — Soaring Over Cappadocia

One of the most magical experiences of our lives! We woke up before dawn to board our hot air balloon and float over the stunning fairy chimneys as the sun rose. Surrounded by dozens of colorful balloons, the view was absolutely breathtaking. My heart was racing — both from the incredible scenery and knowing what was coming next...

Turkish breakfasts are legendary — and we made sure to try them all! From traditional spreads with olives, cheese, and fresh bread to menemen (Turkish eggs) and endless cups of çay (tea). We found the cutest cafes with checkered tablecloths and even had breakfast with friendly Turkish cats! And of course, more Turkish desserts that made someone very excited.

After all the adventures, nothing beats those quiet moments together. Cuddling in bed, showing off the ring, and just being happy. I couldn't believe you were now my fiancée. Best trip ever!

💒 The Day We Said "I Do"

After 5 years of dating, thousands of video calls, countless trips across the border, and a love that only grew stronger — we finally tied the knot in your hometown of Penang. December 15th, 2024 — the same date we started dating — became the day we officially became husband and wife.

The morning started with traditional Chinese customs. I arrived with my groomsmen to "fetch" my bride, completing challenges set by your bridesmaids. The moment I saw you in your stunning red kua, everything felt surreal. This was really happening!

Standing at the altar, looking at you walking towards me... I couldn't stop smiling. The venue was dreamy with fog rolling across the floor and sunlight streaming through the beautiful arched windows. When we exchanged vows, I knew this was the best decision of my life.

You changed into a gorgeous red evening dress for the reception. We cut our unique wedding cake (complete with little figurines!), danced together, and celebrated with all our loved ones. And yes, you still found time to eat — that's my Wan Ying!

After all the celebrations, we retreated to our hotel room to count the ang paos. The look of concentration on your face as you tallied everything up — priceless! This was the start of our new life together.
